Kamusta! We’re Anthony & Missy Santos

Anthony Santos is our chef and the proud Filipino-American behind Manila Ice. Anthony met Missy in high school and they married 8 years later. During their college years Anthony attended Culinary School and did his externship in the Philippines, where he lived for the better part of a year. Although he was born and raised in Tulsa, Anthony spent many summers in the Philippines. When he was growing up, his Lola and Nana visited frequently and cooked traditional Filipino food from different regions of the Philippines. His heritage makes his story unique, but common to what second and third generation Filipino-Americans have experienced. Anthony’s happiest memories of his childhood and culture are intertwined with the making and eating of Filipino food. Dishes such as adobo, lumpia, sinigang, tocino, and halo halo. When Missy met Anthony, she was immediately drawn to the party-like celebration of food and welcoming family. The goal of Manila Ice is to share that cultural celebration of food and connectedness.

Hospitality is at the heart of the culture, and family-time spent sharing delicious food is a priority. It is our mission to bring that essence to the Tulsa area.

MANILA ICE is a nod to Chef Anthony Santos’s love of Filipino Food and Hip Hop culture.

Manila Ice is a playful and energetic street food concept bringing Filipino-American food to the Tulsa area in a flavorful and approachable way.
